What is Orio Play?

Orio Play is a free game launcher for Windows and Mac. It puts every game you own in one library and, in games with Orio built in, adds mods you just type, assists, a live map, teleport and Ask, an in-game guide.

How do I mod a game with Orio Play?

Open a game with Orio built in, press the Orio Mod button and type what you want to change, like "make the boats twice as fast". Orio makes the mod and you play your version in your own copy of the game.

Which games can I mod with Orio Play?

Boat Attack, for now. Orio works in games whose studio has built it in, and more are on the way. You can ask for the game you want with the request box on orio.games.

Is Orio Play free?

Yes. Orio Play is free to download and use, and Ask is free for 50 questions a day per game. Making games on Orio has a free plan too.

Can I get banned for using Orio Play?

Orio Play only works in games whose studio built Orio in, with the controls the studio chose, so you play the way the game's makers allow. It never injects anything into other games or gets around anti-cheat. Assists and teleport work in single player only, and assisted runs are marked.

Do Orio mods change my game's files?

No. An Orio mod is a small separate file the game reads when it starts. Delete it and the mod is gone; the game's own files never change.

Does Orio Play work on Windows and Mac?

Yes. Orio Play runs on Windows 10 and 11, and on macOS 12 or later on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. Linux builds are on the all-downloads page.

Why does my computer warn me the first time I open Orio Play?

Orio Play isn't code-signed yet, so Windows and macOS each ask once. On Windows, choose More info, then Run anyway. On a Mac, open System Settings > Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway. After that, Orio Play opens normally.

Can I make my own games with Orio?

Yes. Describe a game at play.orio.games and Orio builds the world, the characters and the rules, with no code. Or start from a game the community made and remix it.
